Message to Season Ticket Holders from new Manager Torey Lovullo

Dear D-backs Season Ticket Holder,
At the close of my first day as manager of the D-backs, I wanted to reach out to our Season Ticket holders to tell you how excited I am to be in this position, with this franchise and in this city and state. The opportunity to manage a Major League franchise is something I've dreamed of for many years and to have my first job here in Arizona is incredibly special. For much of the year, from Spring Training to the Arizona Fall League, this is the center of the baseball world with great fans who come from all walks of life. I don't have to have grown up here -- or have lived here -- to know that and to know that our fans deserve to see a winning team on the field, year in and year out.
Our expectations are clear - to win baseball games and while I look forward to the challenge ahead, I wouldn't be here if I didn't think that was possible. We are looking for smart, tough baseball players that are fearless and we already have a number of those guys here. There's a great nucleus of players right now and I look forward to getting to know each of them on a personal level, as players and as men. I want to make sure I'm accessible to them on any level and that we create a winning culture in the dugout and in the clubhouse.
I know that you are our core fans who spend their hard-earned money on D-backs tickets and just like you, I have an incredible love for this special game. Like many of you, it was introduced to me by my grandfather. And like many of you, this is a game that chose me. I've been fortunate enough in the past 30 years to create some incredible memories and to have been a part of a World Championship, as I know many of you have as well. I'm looking forward to the day where we can celebrate one together.
Thank you for continuing to support the D-backs year in and year out and for welcoming me to your family. I look forward to seeing you all at Chase Field this season.
